OBJECTIVES
The second EU webinar “Strategies for Marketing and Promoting Organic Seeds Locally and Effectively” is designed to support existing and emerging initiatives in the organic seeds and plant breeding sector by providing tools and insights to strengthen their marketing and communication strategies.
It will showcase related LiveSeeding outcomes and provide a platform for 12 diverse initiatives to share their unique business proposals and experiences.
The activity is focused on initiatives, especially small and medium-sized ones, that produce and sell organic seeds and seedlings and/or create materials through organic breeding, particularly for arable crops and vegetables. It is also aimed at those who want to get started in this activity, whether from scratch or by building on conventional farming experiences. Therefore, the participation of SME managers and farmers is encouraged.

Practical informations
The webinar will be held in English. After the activity, the recordings will be uploaded to the LiveSeeding social media channels for dissemination. Subtitles for the webinar will be enabled in different languages.
Speaker presentations will be sent to all participants.
Target groups
Farmers, seed producers and multipliers, seed traders, seed savers, breeders, examination and certification offices, expert groups, national/regional authorities, actors of long value chains, actors of local value chains, private and public procurement bodies/officers.
Context
This webinar is the second one in a series of online training activities focusing on relevant aspects at EU level for boosting organic seeds and breeding entrepreneurship. It´s part of the activities of the LiveSeeding Organic Seed and Breeding Entrepreneurship Training Center, which includes an EU training programme consisting of four modules:
- Entrepreneurship in the organic seeds and breeding sector. 13-14 December 2023.
- Strategies for Marketing and Promoting Organic Seeds Locally and Effectively. 24-25 February 2025.
- Governance and finance models. October 2025.
- Business models and plans development. June 2026.
A deliverable containing all the resources generated will be published by March 2025 (D5.3 Training materials for organic seed and breeding entrepreneurship training centre).
