Trainings & summer school

Trainings

Organic breeding and organic seed production are highly specialised and skilled activities, for which “off-the-shelf” training programmes are missing. For that reason, training is a cornerstone activity in LIVESEEDING.

The LiveSeeding project offers a set of 5 Training Packages, organized in 25 Modules, including online and on-site sessions (free of charge for participants). As well, LiveSeeding Training activity includes an in-person Summer School in 2026.

You can find all info (topics of each module and units within module, online/on-site, dates), materials and registrations links below.

Practical Guide for drying and storing vegetable seeds in organic small-scale and on-farm seed production (EN, FR)

This practical guide explains and highlights the main issues to look out for when drying and storing seed and it proposes cost- and time-saving solutions for on-farm drying and storage. The guide also provides practical examples, cases and guidance to lift some of the practical challenges associated with the drying and storing of vegetable seeds in small-scale seed enterprises and on-farm.

Summer school

The summer school “Accelerating sustainable and diverse food systems through participatory organic plant breeding” based on project outcomes will be organised during the last year of the project, in cooperation with other EU and international projects on organic breeding and resilient seed systems. Different training models based on the summer school will be released.
