LIVESEEDING brings together 37 partners covering 16 European countries – 14 EU and Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
The project is characterized by a multi-actor approach, as the consortium includes actors from multiple sectors:
- 9 research institutions fully dedicated to organic farming
- 5 organic breeders, seed producers and representatives of the European consortium for organic plant breeding (ECO-PB)
- 2 organic farmers’ associations
- 7 universities and research institutes genetics, participatory and molecular breeding, microbiome, plant pathology, citizen science, socio-economy, policy
- 3 examination offices
- 15 SMEs and 2 large seed companies
- NGO (European Coordination Lets Liberate Diversity (ECLLD), Red de Ciudades por la Agroecology (RCxAE)
- 4 IT expert organisations
