The third EU LiveSeeding webinar, titled “Governance and Finance Models for Organic Seeds and Plant Breeding in Europe”, will take place online on 10 and 11 March 2026.
This two-day webinar is part of the LiveSeeding Organic Seed and Breeding Entrepreneurship Training Center and aims to strengthen the organisational, governance and financial capacities of existing and emerging organic seed and plant breeding initiatives across Europe.
About the webinar
The webinar will provide participants with practical insights and strategic tools to:
- understand and compare different governance and financing models currently applied in organic plant breeding initiatives;
- explore a wide range of public and private financing mechanisms relevant for small and medium-sized actors;
- learn directly from real-life experiences of organic seed and plant breeding initiatives across Europe.
The sessions will also present key outcomes from the LiveSeeding project related to governance and financing models and create a space for peer learning and exchange among initiatives facing similar organisational and financial challenges.
Practical information
The webinar is primarily addressed to existing and emerging initiatives involved in organic seed production and organic plant breeding, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises and non-profit organisations.
It is also relevant for farmers, breeders, and organisations interested in starting organic seed and breeding activities, as well as for managers and technical staff involved in strategic, organisational, and financial decision-making.
