LiveSeedings Polish partner, Poznańska Hodowla Roślin (PHR), held an open field day on the 14th and 15th of June 2023, which gathered 150 participants at Plant Breeding Station Nagradowice.
The event provided an opportunity for farmers, students and agro-industry experts to share their experiences, as well as to have fruitful discussions in which farmers may obtain useful knowledge on optimal agricultural methods and PHR varieties.
Summer meeting of winter wheat and spring barley breeders
On the second day, a meeting of breeders from Polish breeding companies involved in pre-registration trials of winter wheat and spring barley took place. During the meeting R&D activities at PHR in plant breeding were presented, including LiveSeeding research in organic farming.
This was an opportunity for breeders to discuss pre-registration trials, exchange expertise among breeders and scientists, and plan future actions for the winter wheat and spring barley working groups.
