Living Lab events
Within the first 18 months of the project, each LL will organise an event to plan in detail the activities to be conducted during LIVESEEDING.
Conferences
LIVESEEDING will organise one scientific conference (the target is the EUCARPIA Low input and Organic Agriculture section conference, which will take place in Portugal in 2025 with the main organiser IPC).
Booklets & practice abstracts
The resulting innovative knowledge from LIVESEEDING will feed into The agricultural European Innovation Partnership (EIP-AGRI) website for broad dissemination to practitioners.
WP6 – Market and society supported organic breeding
LIVESEEDING is aware of the importance of involving all the actors of the value chains in organic breeding, including citizens and with special attention to Alternative Food Networks (AFN).
WP3 – Seed production, seed sourcing, seed quality & health
Insufficient quantity of organic seed (< 50 %) of very limited number of cultivars with partly reduced quality are on the market due to regulatory (general derogation for non-organic seed), technical (pests and diseases), and socio-economic (higher production costs) constraints.
WP4 – Improve organic seed market transparency
As for EC 848/2018, derogations for use of non-organic seed will be out of scope in 2036. Until now only seven countries work with a no-derogation list and in many countries the organic seed databases do not fulfil the regulations requirements.
Videos
As part of LIVESSEDING project, a short video will be produced to showcase the activities and expected impacts of the project.
About Living Labs
A Living Lab can be defined as an open innovation environment in real-life settings in which user-driven innovation is the co-creation process for new services, products, and societal infrastructures.
